Quick Update Video

Hi Everyone!

It would be awesome if you could all take a few minutes to watch this update video I did today. Just wanted to fill everyone in on what’s been going on. Also I would love to answer ANY questions anyone has about anything.

Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! Go Hawks!

xoxo Katherine

  1. Hi Katie! I just watched your video and can only say WOW you are amazing!!!!! You have so much courage and resilience. Even if it hasn’t felt that way. And you’re as beautiful as ever, too. I don’t really have any questions for you. It’s so cool that you’re reaching out to others in this way. I’m just happy to see you and know that you’re getting through this. I get your Mom’s posts on FB. And of course see your Dad’s Seahawk fever. That’s a good fever to have, right ? Give your family the best from all us Walters. We think of you all very often. Betsie

  2. Your so incredibly brave and strong!!! You have been an inspiration for all of us. We continue to pray for you. I want you to show me, how to do those great eyebrows. I have always wanted that shape and look. We can’t wait to be with you in Hawaii. Maybe you can help me out then.

  3. Katie, amazing, Kate! I loved your summary of 2013 post and this video is wonderful, too! This journey has been surreal for you and your loved ones. I have often thought that if I was in your shoes I would not be near as brave as you. I’m wondering how you found that strength and what would be your advice for other young adults going through cancer treatment.

P.S. I'm not tech savvy so hope I have posted this correctly!

  4. First of all, I love you Katie! I have been blown away by your strength and courage through out this battle and I cannot express how excited I am for you to enter maintenance stage this month. You looked great at Christmas and you look even better now in this video. You are truly glowing and I can see it in your eyes that you’re getting back to normal, creative, sassy, hilariously amazing Katie. I cannot imagine what it feels like to endure the pain (physical and emotional) that you’ve been put through with this horrible, horrible disease and I am so happy for it all to be over. You have been so patient and I too hope that things speed up for you this spring in your maintenance phase. You can get back into shape, carve your career path, whether you’re in LA or not (you know I am pulling for LA), reunite with your best friends and make so many more. You are so young, intelligent and beautiful inside and out. You made it through hellish 2013 and now you can make it through anything. You are an inspiration to so many people and you have and you will touch so many lives and give hope to other cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. I have some questions for you — feel free to answer any your feel comfortable responding to.

Do you like wearing a wig? What’s your favorite wig and why?
What do you plan on doing with your hair once it grows back? I foresee some cute headbands in your future.
What would you like to do career-wise? Do you want to work in LA for sure?
As you gain strength, do you feel your creative inspiration coming back?
Who were some of the inspiring people you met at Children’s?
Do you have fond memories of Children’s and would you like to visit the hospital in the future? Or other hospitals with young cancer patients?
Have you thought about posting more videos with fashion/makeup/hairstyle/wig/embracing baldness for cancer patients? I think they would be a hit!

    Love you! :)

    Xo Savannah

Ps. I can’t believe my Mom figured out how to post a comment!
